The Panultima Library
Welcome to the Panultima Endeffect Library! Sit down, fetch a book and read knowledge collected over the years.
We have to thank Masterpoet for this extensive and very specific guide about getting started on the Panultima EndEffect! This is certainly one of the most valuable ressources a new player can find about this matter - so what are you waiting for? :)
UO has the world, it has the surroundings and it has the players but for some reason many tend to lose themselves in upping their skills and elite-talk at Britain Bank. Sometimes it seems that Roleplaying in UO is a forgotten skill which does not change the fact that it is fun! This page tries to tackle the ever recurring problem of people uncertain about their roleplaying abilities.
Entering Britannia - A Guide for Absolute Beginners
I can very well remember my first steps in Ultima Online, but maybe I should better say: I can very well remember how I tried to make my first steps in the game. Back then I found the game mechanics very hard to understand, my character incredibly tough to handle and the handbook, although rather thick, did no give me an answer to the many questions. And, indeed, UO is much more complicated to play than any other RPG I ever played but, be assured, you will soon get the hang of it. This guide tries to cover all important basics and is meant for real beginners, not people who have played UO before but are new to EndEffect - although those are of course very welcome to read on, too.
Starting your ways as a warrior can be tough. Particular on this Shard which claims to be the Siege Perilous of Ultima Online. Fear not, however, as this transcript of an old warrior brabbling over a truly odd amount of ale at a well known Britannian inn yields a lot of information about how to start your ways.
Sometimes you gotta look. Part of the Panultima Atlas, the Town Guide describes the towns of the realms, including their history, the properties that make them unique and anything else remarkable. Know your home town, isn't that what they say? The town guide provides you with a remarkable writeup about urban life in Britannia.
Learn about your character's stats (strength, dexterity and intelligence) and how to raise them effectively.
Did you ever wonder about why the virtues are that important in Britannia and where they came from? Did you hear about those famous name like Dupre, Jaana and Iolo already but do not know yet who they were and what made them so great? If it is the more fictional background of Ultima Online that interests you, the Tales of Virtue are just the right thing for you.
South of Yew, behind the Peaks of Disgrace, lies the Dungeon Shame, an elemental playground... with adventurers being their very toys.
Buried deep within the Dragonhame mountains, close to the bridge of the two kings lies the foul smelling dungeon Destard. Inhabitated by dragons, this cave is certainly no place for creatures of human kind.
